Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Lexitune ("we", "us") collects through the Lexitune iOS app and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at hello@lexitune.app.

What we collect

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or beta on this site, or create an account in the app.
• Account & authentication data — a user identifier and login details, handled by our auth provider when you sign up.
• Usage analytics — pages viewed, features used, and basic device/browser information, so we can understand how the product is used and improve it. We do not sell this data.
• Content you create — the podcasts you open, transcripts generated for you, and words you save to your vocabulary.
• Audio for transcription — when you generate a transcript, the episode audio is processed by our transcription provider to produce text. We do not use it for advertising.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe, your subscription status and transaction identifiers are provided by Apple and our subscription manager. We never receive your full payment card details.
• Diagnostics — crash and error reports that help us fix problems.

Why we use it

• To provide and operate the app and its features.
• To communicate with you (e.g. beta invitations, launch notifications).
• To measure, debug, and improve the product.
• To process subscriptions and prevent abuse.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers that operate parts of the service on our behalf:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• PostHog — product analytics (hosted in the EU).
• Formspree — waitlist form submissions.
• Apple & RevenueCat — in-app subscriptions and purchase validation.
• Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and AI transcription.
• PodcastIndex — podcast search and metadata.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.

Cookies & local storage

This site and the app use cookies and local storage for essential functionality and for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing.

Children

Lexitune is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
